I am an oil painter based in Faringdon in Oxfordshire. I like to paint landscapes, seascapes and still life portraits. My style is quite realistic and some might say representational but I aspire to capture the spirit and atmosphere of my subject, adding an ethereal quality that I feel cannot be captured by a photograph. I grew up in North Carolina where I was taught to draw and paint as a child by my father. I later had formal training in fine art at university in Virginia. I moved to the UK in 2004 and now exhibit regularly, particularly in the south of England.
